Since moving to a small, mountain village, one of the biggest perks for me is the wildlife.
And I don’t mean evenings at the pub.
I mean this handsome fellow. A Rocky Mountain (bighorn) Sheep.
Though both genders have horns, it’s the males that develop the large, curved ones.
These fellas are big boys. A full grown male can weigh more than 300 pounds. And, when it’s mating season, the loud CRACK from their head-butting can be heard all around the village, as they fight for the right to woo their lady loves.
Here’s a short video on YouTube so you can see the boys in action. Wonder how they cope without Tylenol.
